Growing Tomorrow's Leaders

Term 5

This term, we will be looking at the countries in Europe and identifying some of the physical features of this continent and some of its human characteristics. In Science, we will be continuing our learning of Sound, and exploring how we can change and record volume around the school grounds. In RE, we now move on to learning about our other faith - Hindu Dharma. Year 4 pupils will also be focused on preparing for the Multiplication Times Tables Check in Term 6, by using the mock testing system on the main class page. Please ensure you are continuing to read daily, completing the Red Book homework, logging on to TT Rockstars and MyMaths.

Spellings

Year 4 will work on a spelling pattern for two weeks. At the end of the unit, the children will be tested on words which contain the pattern.

 

Weeks 3 and 4

 

Spelling Pattern Words: Words with the ay sound spelt eigh, ei and ey. Examples include: neighbour, eight, weigh, grey, obey, reign and so on.
