BIOMES

This term, Year 5 will be learning all about Biomes. This will involve us finding out about where the world's biomes are located and the key features of each. We are lucky enough to be receiving a visit from Creepy Claws this term, too! The pupils will meet a range of animals from the different biomes, find out about how they are adapted to live in their habitats and even get to handle some.

EXPLORER

Our text for Writing this term is, 'Explorer' by Katherine Rundell. This book is set in the Amazon rainforest and delves into the survival of a group of children as they overcome obstacles along the way. The pupils will be writing survival guides as well as adventure narratives set in the rainforest.
