Term 6 - Changing Coastlines

Changing Coastlines

Welcome back, we hope you have had a wonderful break and are fully rested after all the hard work you completed in Term 5.

Our Key Question:

Why live by the sea?

This term we will be learning all about the coastlines and how they change over time.  We will be diving deep into the words beach cliff and coastline and understand what is meant by these and how they are different. During our Geography lessons we shall study the different types of beaches, locate them on a map as well as compare a beach in the United Kingdom to Nassau in the Bahamas. We are looking about the human and physical featrues of a beach and coastal town and whether humans have played a part in construction, tourism and climate change. We will also be taking a trip to the Synagogue in Chatham to help build on our learning in R.E as well as a trip to Viking Bay in Broadstairs to also build on all the fantastic learning we have completed this year!

Please continue to read and log into accelerated reader to quiz on the books you have read, as well as logging into My Maths to complete the maths tasks that have been set.

P.E Days

Our P.E days for Rabbit Class and Hedgehog Class are Monday and Tuesdays.

Please make sure to bring in your P.E kits back to school so you can take part in the fun P.E lessons we have planned.

Spellings will be set every week.

Pupils will bring home spellings on a Friday to practice at home and will have a pre-test on Monday and then be tested on Friday.
