On Wednesday 9th November, Year 5 were visited by Mike from Portals to the Past to deliver a World War One workshop. It is safe to say that everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day. The pupils learnt so many new things, handled original artefacts from World War One, found out about women's roles during the conflict, how to foot march, took part in stretcher races and even how to crawl through barbed wire in no man's land. We all had an excellent day!
