Term 5 - Fairy Tales and Castles

Fairy Tales Castles

Welcome back, we hope you have had a wonderful easter break and are fully rested after all the hard work you completed in Term 4.

Our key question we will be looking at this term is:

What makes a good castle?

This term we will be learning about how castles were built and how they had changed over history to what they are now. Our castle that we will be focusing on is Leeds Castle. We will be exploring fairy tales and building up to writing our own version of a fairy tales story with a different twist. Year 2 will continue to look at the countries that make up the U.K and their surrounding seas, the oceans of the world, the continents of the world. Locating castles on a map and to be able to identify its features and why they were important.

Please continue to read and log into accelerated reader to quiz on the books you have read, as well as logging into My Maths to complete the maths tasks that have been set.
