This term, we will be studying a town in Kenya (A Geography focused unit). This centre of learning introduces a distant locality through aspects of life that will be familiar to the children such as housing, cooking and going to school. We will explore Kenyan landscapes, the climate, country and town life and of course African wildlife.

The children will have opportunities to study Tinga Tinga Art. Tinga Tinga was born in Tanzania in 1968 and his art work is vibrant and features African animals.

We will enhance our study of Kenya through DT by designing and making African masks.

Homework

This term we have new homework based on our learning topic. Homework should be handed in on Monday and will be given back that evening. 

Spellings

This term children's spellings will go out on Friday and they will be tested the following Friday. Children will have a pre-test on Monday to idenifty progress throughout the week.
