Our United Kingdom

This term we will be learning all about the United Kingdom. We will be looking at the different countries, capitals and the wonders the UK has to offer. In addition, we will be looking at the Monarchy; in particular King Charles. 

Phonics

Phonics is an essential part of our learning in Year 1 and pivotal to our reading and writing development. In order to help children we would suggest visiting the phonics page.

This term we have new phonics groups! Which means we have new spellings.

Please refer to the sticker that was sent home to identify group.  

Spellings will be updated every Wednesday and spelling tests will take place the following Monday. 

Homework

This term we have new homework based on our learning topic. Homework should be handed in on Monday and will be given back that evening. We are still waiting for children's login's for MyMaths but will inform you as soon as they are delivered.
