* Read the text on 'Motte and Bailey Castles' and answer some questions based on it.
*Create a comparison table of Motte and Bailey castles and Medieval castles. How were they different? How were they the same? Write a piece of writing explaining the differences and similarities. Which type of castle was better in your opinion and why? Don't forget to give your reasons.
*Complete your daily GPS quest to sharpen your grammar skills.
*Begin to add money together to set amounts.
How many different ways can you make 20p?
How many different ways can you make 50p?
How many different ways can you make £1?
Write the different ways as number sentences.
Eg. 50p + 20p + 20p + 10p = £1
Don't forget that we only have 1p , 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins.
20p + 4p + 16p + 10p = 50p would not work because there are no such things as 4p or 16p coins.
*Use the sheets or powerpoints below to help you advance your Maths skills.
*Begin to build the castle that you designed yesterday. Keep a photo record of each step so that you can explain it to Queen Ramsay and Queen Pettit. Don't forget your working mechanisms. Happy building!
*You may want to sing some knight type songs while you work!
