Today, we would like you to move like an animal! First, choose some music that reminds you of an animal. Then, become an animal character. Can your parent watching guess which animal you are? Can you create movements where you pretend you are moving over things or under things in your animal’s habitat (home)?
6. Practice spelling test- Video posted below.
7. Science-
We would like you to have another look at seasons in Science today.
We would like you to make some observations about how the weather is today. You can write them down in sentences and you can draw some pictures too. Remember to start your sentences with a capital letter, leave finger spaces between your words, include adjectives, and end your sentences with a piece of punctuation.
Take a moment to look outside and make some judgements, what is the weather like today? Which adjectives could you use to describe the weather? If you were going outside what would you need to wear or bring with you?
As a challenge, what do you think the weather will be like in July? If you were going outside in July what would you wear? Would you wear the same clothes that you would wear in January?

For reading today, we are listening to the story Winnie and Wilbur. One of the books from the Winnie the Witch series. I love this book and I hope you do too!
Slide 2: Look at the picture. Are there any clues? Can you guess what is going to happen in this story?
Slide 3: Can you see anything in the picture that isn’t black?
Slide 4: Winnie lives in a black house with a black cat. What kind of trouble do you think might happen?
Slide 6: What do you think Winnie could do to solve this problem?
Slide 8: Do you think there are any problems that could happen now that Wilbur has been turned green?
Slide 10: What do you think is going to happen to Wilbur now?
Slide 11: How do you think Wilbur feels now that he is multi-coloured? Look at his face for some clues.
Slide 12: How do you think Winnie could change the situation to make Wilbur miserable no longer?
Maths
In today’s Maths lesson we will be subtracting (crossing ten). After today’s lesson you will be able to use a number line to help you to subtract, you will be able to partition numbers so that you can take away in smaller chunks and you will be able to use counters and pictorials to help you to subtract. I will go through some warm-up questions with you first to show you how to answer the questions. I would then like you to have a go at some practice questions so that you can independently apply these skills. Your main Maths task is a worksheet, please pick the one most suited to your ability, they are uploaded below the Maths PowerPoint/video in a PDF format. As usual, at the end of the PowerPoint are some challenge questions for you to have a go at, remember to explain your answers using your reasoning skills. Try your best! I can’t wait to see your work.
Spellings
Remember to do your practice test, ask your parent to test you. Try your best and do not worry about your score, you have until Friday to improve it.
