Reading

We are listening the 'Mr Brown can moo, can you?' by Dr Seuss . This is a great story full of onomatopoeias and rhyming words. How many can you pick out? You can wither watch it as a video or flick through it as a PowerPoint.

Maths

Today in Maths we are going to explore number bonds to 20. You will work systematically (in order) to find all of the number bonds to 20, you will use your knowledge of number bonds to 10 to find the number bonds to 20 and your knowledge of tens and ones will help you see the link between number bonds to 10 and number bonds to 20. I will go through some warm-up questions with you first to show you how to answer the questions. I would then like you to have a go at some practice questions so that you can independently apply these skills. Your main Maths task is uploaded below the Maths PowerPoint in a PDF format. At the end of the PowerPoint are some challenge questions for you to have a go at, remember to explain your answers using your reasoning skills. Try your best! I can’t wait to see your work.

If you want an extra challenge, please have a go at the mastery cards.

Topic

For our topic lesson today, we are listening to the story Owl babies. The poor owl babies awaken to find that their mum has gone and they begin to worry and get scared. Not to worry though, as their mum returns and gives them a big hug! For today's activity, we would like you to use the story of owl babies to help you think of what babies need from their parents to feel safe and healthy. Draw a story map of all the things you can think of, label it and try and write super sentences for each picture. Enjoy the story!

Spellings

Please practice your spellings. Your pre-test is tomorrow.
