We cannot wait to see your lovely work and to give you some feedback. Have fun!

For our Topic lesson today, we are going to write an invitation for our very own Teddy Bears’ Picnic that you will host on Friday. You will need to include, the date, time, location and any extra details on your invitation. Who will you invite? What time is best for a picnic? Where in your house would make the perfect spot? Do your guests need to bring anything with them? Make sure you include some adjectives in your writing. Design your invitation any way you like, add some pictures and some colour.

Today your story is the Gruffalo’s Child. It is read by Alan Mandel. See if you can answer these questions with your parent as you go through the video, make sure you pause the video in places to give you a chance to answer. Feel free to answer the questions verbally or write your answers down if you want to.

  1. What will the book be about?
  2. How do you think the Gruffalo’s Child felt when the Gruffalo told him about the mouse?
  3. Where do you think the Gruffalo’s Child is going? Is it a good idea?
  4. Who left a trail in the woods?
  5. What do you think Gruffalo cake looks like?
  6. What do you think Gruffalo pie tastes like?
  7. What do you think Gruffalo tea tastes like?
  8. Who do you think the creature is?
  9. How do you think the mouse felt after he tricked the Gruffalo’s Child?

Number bonds to 10 worksheet

In maths today we are looking back over some of the topics that we have covered so far. It is important to keep practicing all the skills tat we have learned and to build on them. We are going to be revisiting addition and subtraction within 10 and 2D and 3D shapes. Have a go at answering the questions and once you have worked your way through the questions, there are some links to free online maths games to play on the last slide. Have fun!
