8.9.21 - The Year 6 children came down to pair up and take us for our first lunchtime. It was great for us to make a new friend and great for growing responsibility in our older children.
10.9.21 - We met and named our class bears - Elton Peters (Ladybirds) and Cookie (Butterflies). We are looking forward to sending them home on Fridays for a sleepover with one of the children.
Week 3 - We have been learning to retell the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt.' The children have been learning to read and create their own story maps. At the same time we have been immersed in the story by going on bear hunts in the playground and forest school, using small world figures, making pictures and masks and building our own caves.
Week 4 - We learnt how to innovate the bear hunt story to make our own version, including going for a crocodile hunt in Forest School.
Week 5 - We have been learning all about each others families and the children have been really interested in designing their own glasses and using chalk on the playground.
