RE

Today in RE we are asking ourselves, ‘how do Christians share the Good News with others?’ By the end of the lesson you will understand what homelessness is, you will understand Malachi’s selfless act and you will understand that Malachi was following Jesus’ example. As I go through the slides, I would like you to discuss the questions with your parent, feel free to write your answers down. I would then like you to write a few sentences explaining what Malachi did and how it brought Good News. Remember to start your sentences with a capital letter, leave finger spaces between your words and end your sentences with a piece of punctuation.

Reading

We are reading a bit of a mixed up story today. You might recognise which stories have been mashed together! Once you have listened to the story, you will find the talking cards below the video. You can either choose to discuss your answers with a parent or write them down. Enjoy!

Maths

If you would like extra practice and more questions to fully understand today's learning, then please click on the link and select the video 'Compare groups of objects to 50'.

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/spring-week-6-number-place-value-within-50/

We are learning to compare groups of objects to 50 today. In order to compare objects or numbers, we must use the language; more than, less than or equal to. We have used this language and the appropriate symbols a lot in maths so far. All we have to do is transfer the skills we learned and used within numbers to 20 to bigger numbers up to 50. We will also be using our knowledge of number representations and 10s and 1s to help us count the objects. Once you have worked through the PowerPoint, there is a practical activity attached. If you are feeling super clever and would like to challenge yourself, then please try the mastery cards!

Spellings

Remember to do a pre-test on Wednesday and a real test on Friday. Please use the hands-on spelling guide to give you lots of fun ways to practice them.
