We are learning of the stories of Salvation this term. We are learning about why Easter is important to Christians today and seeing how much of the Easter story we know. There are a couple of videos to watch which explain the Easter story in more detail. After watching the videos, can you retell the story of Easter?

Reading

The Selfish Crocodile

Why did nobody go to the river?

What was wrong with the crocodile?

Who came to the crocodile’s rescue?

What did the crocodile give the mouse as a reward?

Why do you think the crocodile decided to et all the other animals come back to the river to bathe and drink?

How would you describe the mouse?

Maths

In today’s lesson we are continuing to count in 5s. By the end of today’s lesson you will be able to use your knowledge of numbers to 50 to count in 5s, you will be able to use pictorials to help you to count in 5s and you will be able to spot and discuss patterns that emerge when counting in 5s. I would like you to watch and join in with the Jack Hartmann counting in 5s warm up song. I will then go through some warm-up questions with you. I would then like you to have a go at the practice question on your own. Your main Maths task is uploaded below the Maths PowerPoint in a PDF format. You do not need to do all of the worksheets, pick the one best suited to your ability. At the end of the PowerPoint are some challenge questions for you to have a go at, remember to explain your answers using your reasoning skills. I have also uploaded some mastery cards for those of you that want an extra challenge. I have uploaded the answers so you can self-assess and mark your own work. Try your best! I can’t wait to see your work.
