What was it like to be an evacuee?
Today is the final lesson in our week of learning what it was like to be an evacuee. You will focus on the arrival of the evacuees in their safe location, compare their experiences in the city to in the country and write about what happened when these children were taken in by families. Follow the PowerPoint through, watch the clips and write your final diary entry. Do not forget to include a range of different sentence types, emotive and descriptive language and keep looking out for that punctuation. You may want to try one of the extra tasks today or later in the week and bake an eggless cake. Why would it have been eggless? Do some prelearning into this before we begin to learn about rationing.
