Topic

For our final day of Children's Mental Health week, we have a lovely activity for you to do! The focus has been on expressing yourself, so today we are going to look at why it is important to express yourself and how it makes you feel. What do you do to express yourself? After watching the video, I would like you you to do an activity that you love doing to EXPRESS YOURSELF! Have fun and enjoy it!

Maths

In today’s Maths lesson we are finding one more and one less. By the end of today’s lesson you will be able to use your prior knowledge of finding one more and one less and apply it to numbers within 50, you will understand which digit or digits will change and you will understand that 8 is one more than 7 and you will be able to apply this knowledge to bigger numbers like 48. I will go through some warm-up questions with you first to show you how to answer the questions. I would then like you to have a go at some practice questions so that you can independently apply these skills. Your main Maths task is uploaded below the Maths PowerPoint in a PDF format. At the end of the PowerPoint are some challenge questions for you to have a go at, remember to explain your answers using your reasoning skills. I have also uploaded some mastery cards for those of you that want an extra challenge. I have uploaded the answers so you can self-assess and mark your work. Remember the worksheets are categorised by 1 star, 2 stars and 3 stars. You do not need to do all of them, do the one best matched to your understanding and ability. Try your best! I can’t wait to see your work.
