There are some changes to homework this year so please see the below homework overview for detail. Homework will be 'set' on a Friday and should be handed in on a Wednesday. Pre-learning tasks will also be set across the term. These tasks will give children an advantage in class and will help to bring out what learners already know; what misconceptions they may have and what interests them.

Every week comprehension homework will be set in the KS2 English Comprehension Year 4 Targeted Question Book your child has been given. This homework will be marked as a class so it is important homework is completed by every Wednesday and that the book is in school.

Our topic this term is Potions. Potion: a poison, a mixture, an aromatic brew, a vapour, a liquid or sticky goo. Welcome to the amazing world of potions and their properties. We will be starting our topic with an exciting potions workshop delivered by Sublime Science. Now, scientists, beware! There are some powerful and deadly potions out there- dangerous, unpredictable or plain tragic (just ask Romeo and Juliet!) Use what you know about materials and their properties to create incredible potions in Professor Hazard’s Potions Class. Feeling sleepy? Hmmm…that orange juice did taste a little strange…
