Welcome to Year 2 Mole Class!
Welcome to our class page! Here you can find what we are learning about and find any key updates.
My name is Mrs Ward, I am the Class Teacher of Moles Class and my Teaching Assistants are Mrs Wilders and Mrs Rixson.
If you ever need to know anything about your child's learning or have any questions, please feel free to come and see us after school, pop a note in the contact book or fill out the form below.
Here are some key documents relating to our class.
Our topic this term is ‘Beachcombers’. During this learning project we will be learning about the seashore, rock pools, coastal features and sea creatures. We will be visiting Minnis Bay in North Kent to 'comb' the beach!
Our topic this term is 'The Scented Garden'. During this learning project we will be learning about plants, flowers, Helen Keller, spices, herbs and growing. We will be creating our own garden in school and will be visiting the gardens at Groombridge Place and Dartford Central Park as well as visiting a local garden centre.
Do you have green fingers? Do you like a challenge? If so, this could be for you!
In Moles this year we are having a 'broad bean growing' challenge.
To enter, all you have to do is care for the broad bean you planted and try and grow the tallest broad bean plant you can.
The tallest plant will receive a very special prize and all entrants will receive certificates. Last year the tallest broad bean plant came in at a whopping 82cm!
Broad bean plants are to be brought into school on Wednesday 24th May - not a day before or after!
Good luck growing! For tips on how to grow your broad bean plant click here.
