16.07.18 - The Gingerbread Man has been at it again! He jetted off to Nepal and Mauritius and is back in time for school 😀
12.7.18 -"There's an alien in the garden!!!" There was great excitement during chill time today. Some of the children found a bug which they thought was an alien due to its size! Miss Ross thought it was a toy until one of the children poked it and it moved. After showing our bug to every teacher we could find we put it safely by the pond. After doing some investigation we discovered it was a Lime Hawk Moth Caterpillar, and not an alien as we previously thought!
12.7.18 - Reception had lots of fun in maths today we recapped some of the different topics we have covered since we have been in reception. We covered number recognition, patterns, ordering, adding, doubling, and size.
10.07.18 - Sports Day! Well done to all the children who took part, you were all so incredible we forgot to take photos because we were having so much fun!
9/7/18 - Look who's back!! With postcards of more places he had been. Thank you to all the parents for your continued support. The children have loved following his adventure and are excited about his return.
4.7.18- Today the Gingerbread Man was in Singapore! We found out lots of information about Singapore. We also got to meet some guide dogs, got to use some PE equipment that disabled children use and enjoyed a teddy bears picnic, discussing our teddies disabilities.

2.7.18 - This week we are creating awareness and celebrating disability awareness week. We have had a Paralympic swimmer, a deaf England rugby player, a medical detective dog and a chance to have a go in a wheel chair. The whole week we will have opportunities to meet amazing people who succeed and thrive despite disabilities.
The Gingerbread Man has been continuing his travels, last week he ended the week in Madrid and Monoco and today he is in Gran Canaria!
We had lots of fun during our music lesson today!
27.06.18 - We had a real treat today! The Gingerbread man went back to Scotland to try find Nessie and Mrs Cox but didn't find either. He did however meet a really nice baker who couldn't understand why he was wearing a bathing suit, he offered to make him a kilt and sent some Gingerbread men wearing Kilts and some Scottish Tablet Fudge for reception to try!
There were mixed reviews on the tablet fudge!
26.06.18- The gingerbread man was in Norway today! We had fun looking at all the waterfalls, lakes and mountains. We also found out about the Northern lights and the Norway Royal family.
26.06.18 - Ladybird class wanted to show off their amazing singing talents today. Watch out X-Factor! Stars of the future. So proud of them when I think how quiet and shy some of them were not to long ago!

22.01 - Yesterday the Gingerbread man thought he was off to tea with the Queen in Windsor because a policeman stopped him driving a London bus but it turned out he was in trouble because he wasn't suppose to be driving the bus! He has promised to try be good and has gone to Canada today. We had lots of fun finding out about the weather in Canada and the yellow pea soup! The children loved looking at the snow on the mountains and were amazed at how much snow they get in Canada. Where will he be on Monday?
20.06.18 - We had fun creating our own naughty car stories! The cars went through orbees, mud, water, rice, paper and cereal.
20.06.18 - The Gingerbread Man is in London! He is getting up to lots of mischief driving London buses through people's food, muddy ponds and knocking over tea cups!
19.6.18 - The Gingerbread man was in Gibraltar! we learnt some interesting facts about Gibraltar; they actually have to shut one of the roads when a plane lands as the road is also used as a runway!

Thank you to all the dads who came to our Father's Day celebration. The children loved showing you their transport vehicles they made and had so much fun playing with you. It was lovely to see their beaming faces. They were so proud to show their daddy's off

14.6.18 - Today we received a postcard from the Gingerbread man who is on a cruise and he doesn't know where he is headed! This led us on to talk about vehicles and after designing our own vehicles yesterday the children made them today.
In maths we have been looking at tally charts. This afternoon the children made their own graphs, finding out information about their friends.
13.06.18 - The Gingerbread Man was in Portugal today, photos will be uploaded tomorrow. We had a lot of fun today designing our vehicles we will be making tomorrow.
The gingerbread man popped back to pick up his glasses and made sure Lolly and Coco had seen the new little birds in the bird box. We got postcards from Spain and Sorento today. The children practice speaking Spanish with our Spanish teachers Alex and Asriel.

Today the Gingerbread man went to Romania! We were really lucky to have two clever children who could teach us some Romanian.
8.6.18 - The boys built a boat to go to Scotland to find Nessie!!
08.06.18 - The gingerbread man is in Scotland eating tablet fudge, looking at men wearing kilts and trying to find Nessie the Loch Ness Monster. We had fun finding out facts about Scotland and enjoyed eating our snack outside talking to our friends about all the fun adventures the gingerbread man is having
07.06.18 - The gingerbread man stopped at school on his way to catch his plane to Sweden! He dropped his sunglasses off with Lolly. He does seem to like a bit of mischief!

06.06.18 - There was lots of excitement as our first postcard arrived! One child also shared with reception some of the clues he had found, he thinks the gingerbread man was at his house!
06.06.18 - We left Coco in charge of looking out for the Gingerbread man at school but the Gingerbread man was really naughty and this is what we came into class to find today!
05.06.18 - There was a lot of excitement in reception today! We decorated our own Gingerbread men but Mrs Schoemans gingerbread man was very sneaky and ran away when we weren't looking. Mr Sutherland came to tell us that he saw him running across the playground. We have been searching for him and made missing posters, some children wrote persuasive letters trying to convince him to come back but we haven't had any luck. Hopefully we find more clues tomorrow!
