Welcome to Term 2! Our topic this term is I Am Warrior! I am strong, brave and powerful. Meet me in battle. Draw your sword, wield your axe and challenge me if you dare! Invade and attack, Romans versus Celts, the fight is on...
Discover Claudius, Boudicca and Julius Caesar, and find out what the Romans did for us.
Get ready for Gladiator school and learn along side Spartacus and Spiculus: brave soldiers of the Roman Colosseum.
When all that battling makes you hungry, relax, lie back and feast yourself on dormice and grapes, or perhaps a roasted swan sprinkled with nuts?
Lullingstone Roman Villa
What a way to start our new topic all about the Romans! Children were amazed at the size and age of the villa, coming up with lots of ideas about all the different rooms and their uses. They had the opportunity to look at lots of different artefacts found in or around the villa including pottery, jewellery and even skeletons! The children particularly enjoyed looking at the mosaic and creating their own versions.
The children were all brilliantly behaved and really engaged with the activities throughout the day, expanding their knowledge even more about the Romans! Thank you parents and carers for all your support in making experiences like these possible, it has really helped excite and motivate the children about the Romans.
Please enjoy these photos from our day!
This term we have been learning all about how to make sound, how to alter a sound's loudness and pitch and how we hear sounds. We ended our Science lessons this term by making our own instruments some were similar to instruments we knew, others created new interesting instruments.
Thank you to those who provided the materials for us to make them, we had a lot of fun and consilidated our learning.
