Reception Wedding - Last week the children were extremely interested in weddings after many had recently been to a family wedding. They asked if they could have a wedding in school, of course we obligied! The children learnt so much by experiencing a wedding first hand. The children made decorations, cards, confetti and gifts for the brides and grooms, there was a service in which the children learnt about the different people involved in the service (the vicar, flower girls, guests, best man). The children also learnt about and took part in customs such as cutting the cake, photographs, first dance and of course a party!
