Every Friday after school. The Team Holy Trinity Cross Country Club meet to work on their running ability. This club is open for pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 who are talented in long distance running. The group partake in a range of different exercises with the emphasis on fun and enjoyment; allowing the pupils to improve their personal running technique and ability. This is also an opportunity for the pupils to understand that long distance running is not just about running around a field for a long period of time and that a lot of varied activities can be used to help improve their overall stamina.
When possible as well as having many intra-school competitions we enter inter-school competitions too.
On Saturday 18th November 18 pupils from Holy Trinity took part in the Kent Junior Cross Country Championships at the Kent County Showground.
This is always a huge event with over 1000 runners from all over Kent taking part. Despite the grueling course and cold temperatures the pupils performed extremely well and can be very proud of their achievements.
The Year 4 race was over 1100m and the Year 5 and 6 races were over a distance of 2200m. Photos to follow.
